Longarm Needles - High Speed Sharp Point (R) (MR)
Description
Handi Quilter proudly offers high-quality Groz-Beckert longarm needles, which are specifically made for longarm quilting machine use. Handi Quilter longarm machines use the 134 needle system. Our needle packs come with 20 needles – two packages of 10. Standard needles come in multiple sizes please refer to photo of chart to determine which size you may need. These high speed needles are recommended for use with the Infinity Handi Quilter Machine, however can also be used in the Amara machines (see high speed needle description below).
The MR (multi directional) point style needles are engineered to handle the demands that longarm machines put on the needle – high speed, thick layers of fabric, and multi-directional use. The deep scarf and flexibility of these needles prevent skipped stitches, less puckering, and less thread breakage. We recommend using this system of needles when using the Infinity machine, micro quilting, or when experiencing thread shredding.
The R (sharp) point style needles are for general quilting using typical quilt fabrics and an array of thread types.
The FG (ball point) point style needles have a rounded tip designed to easily penetrate fabric with less damage then a sharper point. This can be preferable when quilting through tightly woven fabrics, batiks, knits, and t-shirts.
How often should you change your needle? Every quilt deserves a new needle! Needles are relatively inexpensive and a new needle goes a long way in ensuring the best quilting results.
So what size needle should you be using? The needle size correlates to the weight of your thread. That thicker the thread, the larger the needle size.

Returns
Items in original condition and packaging may be returned within 15 days of purchase for store credit (if item has been shipped to you, 15 days from date of delivery).
