Beginner Quilting
Description
Do you want to learn the basics of making a quilt? This is the class for you!
By the time you finish this class, you'll have gained the confidence to move on to more challenging quilt patterns and explore all that quilting has to offer!
You'll learn the very basics of piecing together a simple quilt top, including:
- reading a quilt pattern
- learning quilting-related terminology
- cutting out pieces
- sewing together blocks, rows, & borders
We'll be making a project that teaches you these techniques! Class will include kit for the project we will be making.
Materials Required for Class:
- sewing machine in good working order (classroom machine available for rent for $5)
- 1/4" foot or an accurate way to measure seam allowance
- rotary cutter, short ruler for trimming (we'll provide long rulers in our classroom)
- seam ripper, straight pins, Perfect Klips, thread snips
- new needle, size 12 Microtex (sharp) is best
- Lg spool of Aurifil 50 wt thread for piecing
Our classroom provides several cutting & ironing areas for everyone to share, along with larger rulers and irons. Please feel free to bring your own small cutting and ironing supplies if you'd like.
Two Chicks Quilting Class/Event Cancellation Policy (effective Oct. 3, 2022)
Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to a class or event will be 100% credited back as store credit. If it is less than 48 hours until the class, you will receive 50% of the class fee applied as a store credit.
Cancellations MUST be done over the phone or in person.
Two Chicks Quilting reserves the right to change this policy at any time.

Shipping
All orders are processed within 3-5 business days (excluding weekends, holidays, or pre-order products) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped.
Returns
Items in original condition and packaging may be returned within 15 days of purchase for store credit (if item has been shipped to you, 15 days from date of delivery). Only regular-priced items may be refunded for store credit, unfortunately, sale items cannot be returned. Read full return policy here.
