Top 6 Finds from Houston Quilt Market 2022

We were so excited to finally go to Quilt Market again. There hasn’t been an in-person Quilt Market since Fall of 2019 and we’ve really missed seeing everyone. Not to mention being able to get our hands on all the new and exciting fabrics, machines, patterns, notions, and all the inspiring quilts. So let’s show you our top finds from Houston!

Handiquilter

Handiquilter had their newest stationary machine out on the floor, the brand new Amara ST. and it was fantastic. This stationary machine lets anyone quilting on their domestic step up to a 20” throat space and a large table that is height adjustable with the push of a button. It is amazing!!!

Bernina Longarm

For all of our Bernina Longarm lovers, we are so happy to announce that Two Chicks Quilting is now a certified Bernina Longarm Retailer! Doesn’t Julie look great in front of that Bernina Q20? That longarm and another one are coming straight from the Festival floor to the shop so we’ll be stitching in no time.

Swan Amity Patterns

We know everyone has been itching to get out of the house as much as we have and get stuck into a new project. So, after seeing Swan Amity Studio’s booth we knew that their patterns would be just the thing for a class, perfect for you domestic machine quilters wanting to explore more features on their machines with decorative stitches. Stay tuned for the class announcement, and check out how those stitches make that cactus pop!

Billy Reue, New Designer

Billy Reue is a fabric designer with Free Spirit. Billy is originally from Port Lavaca, TX and we were so inspired by his awesome Schoolhouse session. Billy is an architect, artist, and quilter who loves to create based on the connections between architecture and quilting. Get ready for lots of new things with our collaboration with Billy and The Chicks!

Floor Canvases

We found another cool thing at Quilt Market, floor canvases! Yes, you read that right, we’ve got a new Rug Project coming your way. The product is ordered and classes will be coming for both domestic and longarm machines. This was one of our top favorites for sure and we are excited to show our new floor canvases off.

HoopSisters Embroidery

We’ve got another fun new designer for you, the HoopSisters! The HoopSisters’ patterns show you how to make perfectly quilted, pieced, and decoratively stitched quilt blocks all in the hoop of your embroidery machine. We have lots planned with them for 2023 including a Facebook Live Launch Party in January. Make sure you follow us on Facebook to see it!

Keep an eye out as all the beautiful new product rolls in and the fun new classes get on the calendar. Which one are you most excited for?
